What you need to make roughly 2 dozen snickerdoodles:
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1 cup of butter flavored Crisco.
2 larges eggs
2 tablespoons of milk
1 tablespoon of vanilla
3 cups of all purpose flour
2 teaspoons of cream of tartar (You can substitute 4 teaspoons of lemon juice if needed)
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
**You will also need a cup of sugar with cinnamon added to coat the cookies prior to baking.
Now that you have all your ingredients and baking supplies gathered, let’s begin.
Mix the sugar, Crisco, eggs and vanilla on medium to high speed until fluffy. Now add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt until mixed throughly.
Form the cookie dough into small balls.
Roll each one in the cinnamon sugar mix.
Place in cookie baking sheet about 2 inches a part.
Place in heated over and bake for 9-11 minutes
Serve up warm and gooey or let cool and enjoy with a cup of cold milk.
